Sanitary Couplings and Fittings for Data Centers
Overview:
Sanitary couplings and fittings are engineered to provide precision, cleanliness, and reliability in liquid-cooling systems where fluid purity and mechanical integrity are essential. Designed to meet Open Compute Project (OCP) and CFIA-compliant standards, these components are ideal for mission-critical Data Center cooling applications where contamination control, leak prevention, and ease of service are priorities. Manufactured from corrosion-resistant stainless steel or high-purity alloys, sanitary fittings ensure consistent, leak-free performance under variable flow, temperature, and pressure conditions.
Key Technical Advantages:
CFIA-Compliant Sanitary Design: Smooth, crevice-free internal surfaces minimize fluid entrapment and support coolant cleanliness.
Corrosion-Resistant Construction: Typically fabricated from 304 or 316L stainless steel to withstand glycol-water, dielectric, or deionized coolant chemistries.
Leak-Tight Seal Integrity: Precision-machined ferrules and elastomeric or fluoropolymer gaskets maintain robust sealing under thermal cycling.
Tool-Free Assembly Options: Clamp or flange-style connections allow quick installation and maintenance without threaded interfaces.
Wide Temperature and Pressure Capability: Suitable for operating ranges from –40 °C to +200 °C (–40 °F to +392 °F), depending on seal material.
Cross-System Compatibility: Available in standard sanitary flange, tri-clamp, or quick-connect configurations for integration with flexible hoses and manifolds.
Clean-In-Place (CIP) Support: Designed to withstand cleaning and sterilization cycles in high-purity or dielectric systems.
Data-Center Application Focus:
Sanitary couplings and fittings play an increasingly important role in liquid-cooling infrastructure for high-density data centers. Their crevice-free construction and CFIA-compliant design minimize particulate generation and microbial growth, ensuring coolant purity in closed-loop systems. Used in conjunction with peroxide-cured EPDM or silicone hoses, these fittings deliver secure, corrosion-resistant connections for coolant distribution units (CDUs), rack manifolds, and direct-to-chip cooling assemblies. The tool-free clamp or flange interfaces enable rapid installation and service, reducing downtime and improving operational efficiency. With proven reliability and superior cleanliness, sanitary couplings and fittings support the evolving standards of OCP-compliant, contamination-free thermal management systems.
